Silicone rubber is able to resist extreme temperature variances, from -150 Deg F to 500 Deg F (-101C to 260C), and has a natural translucent color for visual flow. Resists U.V. ozone gases, moisture and temperature. Resilient, stretchable and resistant to compression set and is odorless, tasteless and inert. Silicone is extremely resistant to ozone and corona concentration over long time periods. It also has good electrical properties, along with the ability to self-extinguish typically within 3 -8 seconds, making silicone an excellent choice for appliance and computer applications. It contains no sulphur or other acid-producing chemicals so it does not cause staining, corrosion or deterioration of other materials it contacts. Standard barbed fittings and lined hose clamps are recommended for most applications. Durometer reading: 50A.

Polyimide is in the select group of super polymers and is now available in micro and miniature tubing sizes. Our tubing has a thermal rating of -452F (-269C) To 700F (371C) for continuous use application with a dielectric constant of 3.4. This material is considered a benchmark for polymers in electrical insulation applications. This tubing exhibits exceptional dimensional stability and has very high burst pressure ratings. Excellent column strength and high stiffness has proven to provide good push and torque properties making polyimide tubing an excellent choice for catheters that are guided through the body's vascular system. Other uses include high strength, temperature and chemical resistant push rod tubes, and miniature structural matrices. PEEKs inherent purity and lubricity make it an ideal choice for analytical and life sciences applications. Its continuous operating temperature of 500 degrees F coupled with the tough, abrasion resistance and stiff properties yield a truly unique tubing used as a conduit for fluids, gasses, fiber optics and wire.
